Acceptable Use Policy

Standards designed to protect residents, facilities, physicians, users, and the SBARAlerts platform.

Effective July 22, 2026 SBARAlerts Legal & Trust Center

All users must use SBARAlerts only for authorized healthcare, business, administrative, support, or account-management purposes.

1Authorized Healthcare Use

The platform may be used only for legitimate purposes approved by the customer organization and consistent with law, facility policy, and user role.

2Prohibited Conduct

  • Unauthorized access to patient or facility information
  • Credential sharing or impersonation
  • Malware, phishing, scraping, or automated abuse
  • Security testing without written authorization
  • Harassment, illegal content, or fraudulent activity
  • Interference with availability, logging, or monitoring

3Data Handling

Users must follow minimum-necessary principles, verify recipients, avoid PHI in unsecured communications, and comply with facility policies before uploading or disclosing information.

4Enforcement

SBARAlerts may investigate suspected misuse and restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect information, users, or service integrity.
